Content Design - Making Involved and Interactive Modular Experiences in an Eventful World

An individual contributor on one of the content teams of the MMO RIFT, I brought my previous experience to bear to help elevate the game’s upcoming quest content and events. RIFT’s strength lay in its excellent dynamic event systems with solid tools to create them, and I wasted no time diving in and crafting Rifts of my own! As my first encounter with object-oriented content scripting, it was a wonderful experience expanding my understanding of what could be done with game tools to create experiences quickly!

RIFT Patch 1.6 - Ember Isle

I created quest content for RIFT’s patch 1.6 From the Embers, creating the latter half of the Defiant experience on Ember Isle. I also designed and implemented several Rifts for the zone as well as the Zone Event Ithkus’ Rise, including the accompanying rift events and the encounter design for Ithkus. As a dedicated shiny hunter myself, I distributed the findable artifacts across the island as well.


RIFT: Storm Legion - Brevane

For RIFT’s first expansion, I was charged with making much of the content on the continent of Brevane. There I created Rifts, quests, zone events, and instant adventures to help tell the story of the lost continent and its people.
